If you rotate the rink, it will not hide.
Other items that hide may also show if the place where you are putting them is rotated. I have had 100% success in doing this.
In fact I just did it with a skier who "sunk" in the snow hill. When I rotated the hill, presto, he stayed on the slope, very visible. Good luck.
