Farm Town can not move out of Facebook unless you want to play with no neighbors, gifts or any interaction at all. The company only has the 1 game and this would require setting up their own social network to be able to play. Much bigger companies have tried this, but to have the interaction between players it just is not feasible nor cost effective.

Maybe check with the outfit, that does Metropolis, as they're pretty much stand alone.

With the extra money from the new challenges, I hope FarmTown will go independent - off Facebook!. I play several other online-games and they don't have troubles like this. Check Kano.com and Raid: Shadow Legends.

I think the Devs must have known we would probably get shut down. I would have planted different crops if I had known we might.

I moved your post to the thread about loading issues to keep all of this about the deactivation in one location. The developers of Farm Town and the other games and apps that got caught in this deactivation by Facebook did not have any advanced warning this was going to happen.

As far as Farm Town they had already made the security changes Facebook wanted without disrupting your game play, but one did not do what Facebook wanted. They have corrected that now and we are waiting on Facebook to approve it tomorrow.
