I was just wondering if the bad weather could have anything to do with the new release not being there yet. Just a thought.
I have been spending a lot of time reading through all these post's since Thursday. Love all the jokes, you almost make it worthwhile waiting for the update. And why do some of you think we only going to have 12 farms? I was on a game, can't remember the name a year or so ago, I think it had something like 40 farms. Not that we could manage that many in farmtown. Really to much work, but we can dream of more than 12 farms i am sure, even if just used for decorations and trees. Love this game and we are lucky found some games where the dev's are nowhere to be found, no support what so ever.
Happy farming to all my fellow addicts.

I actually think this release has probably been delayed due to the flash issue.. its took them days to fix what we already had, im guessing they aes still tweeking stuff we dont see, and probabaly fixing the new stuff aswell before its released to deal with the flash issue..

This sounds logical, but I wish they would give us an update I find myself checking whenever I get a chance and I really should be getting a few other things done, and saving up time for when the update does appear.

This might be right..But seriously a post with 8 words would have gone along way."New Release Been Delayed due to Flash Issues"......That would have ended about half these posts...But we know the Devs don't do this, which I find extremely rude ....

Indeed and I think more and more are jumping on this band wagon with their thoughts

As Stated in message #1

Farm 11 and new levels In the next release.

Enjoy!

Thanks

--Raul

so we will be getting at least 1 more update. I to wish it was here but will just have to wait like everyone else.

Would like to see the game add to what we have and also make what we have better. Adding to what is here to make it easier to use and play with would be so much nicer then just adding more and more to clutter and drive the crops we have thinner and thinner in where they are used. A improved pig truck using the cow and chicken poo to give a better ferterlizer would be nice resulting in a high yield per crop would use less fields for the same amount we get.

There are so many tweeks that can be done not just adding and adding.

ok back to waiting.

Well you may be right around the number of farms available. Twelve seems like it would complete the rectangle. At some point you do have enough farms... just not sure what that number is

I guess the other items could go on forever - only creativity would be the restriction. Someone starting today has lots they can add for a while

I also agree threats and impolite comments are not helpful. The game designers and programers do try there best to get it done.

My only suggestion is that slaskkey sends out the occasional informational item to highlight their plans or release schedule. It would appear many companies flag upcoming changes or plans for the future in releases. Raul himself pointed to an upcoming farm 11 in this thread (first message). Had he said - in Sept 2011 for example - it might have been helpful (there would thus not b the current expectations.... Slaskey may well need to adjust as they go, and possibly even chnge the date. But at least we woud have a sense of what is happening. Could be as simple as adding a new message to the threads - upcoming release..... some general comments and timeframes...

The people threatening to quit if there is no update astound me. Quitting because it's been a few weeks since the last update and you're not given confirmation when it's going to come out? I've played many games in the past where they update frequently but the quality is downgraded and prices are raised. If the next update takes a little longer so they can get it right, I'd prefer that over any alternative. I'll give the answer I give to my children when they get too demanding over something not going their way: It will be here when it gets here.

I'll stick with quality over quantity, thanks.

I think us Farmtowners have the makings of a great doctor dissertation in social psych or something. It's really funny to watch how we react to waiting for updates. We're all happy for awhile right after an update (assuming there aren't bugs), so we rock along - probably the posts drop off a bit because people are content. Then the pressure starts to build - people start coming here more - cracking jokes - being funny and cute about wanting the new update. Then we begin to get edgy. Then people begin to threaten. Then others get upset at the people who are threatening or edgy. I think it would be a GREAT dissertation! One question I think would be interesting is . . . what causes us to cross the line between joking and getting really SERIOUS about wanting our update? Is it just a time factor? If so, how long does it take for us to cross the line? See . . . if the devs had THAT information, maybe they could use it to plan somehow? I dunno . . . I just think that's fun to think about. Anyone in this group need a topic for a dissertation or thesis???
