Your neighbors are your friends from your social networking site who also play the game

It is easier to access their farms through the neighbour bar at the bottom of your screen gaming. Similarly, they can come and see your farm easily too.

Go to the "My neighbours" tab above your game screen
If your friends play FarmTown, click "Add as a neighbour."
If your friends do not play FarmTown, select them in the list at the bottom of the page, and invite them!

You can go to your neighbours' farms by clicking on the "my neighbours" tab above your game screen which takes you to the list of all your neighbours.
If you click on their photo, you will go directly on their farm.

If your neighbour is online, a green light appears next to their picture in your neighbour bar which is located at the bottom of the game screen.
Clicking on their picture in the neighbours bar will also give you the following options:

a) Join 'User': Sends a message to 'User' asking for its permission, if user accepts, you will navigate to where that user is located.

b) Ask 'User' to Join You: Sends a message to 'User' asking if he/she wants to Join You. If user accepts he/she will navigate to where you are located.

These options work in every place, you or the other user can be anywhere, including farms, marketplace, realtor or inn.

To be your neighbour, a player must be part of your friends on Facebook or MySpace.
When you visit your neighbours you can help raking leaves, watering their farm or flowers or remove weeds. This option appears once a day (and works towards you neighbour trophies!)

In addition, you can send them gifts.

None of this is possible with your "buddies" who are only contacts in the game

Depends on which platform you use.
In fact, you can have up to 80 neighbors on Facebook and MySpace is now 8 as of November 2010.

To get neighbours, we must be friends as explained above. When one of your friends play FarmTown, it appears in your list of neighbours, on a white background. You just have to make a request to be neighbours. When they accept they will appear on a blue background. They are now your neighbour!

Note that for a neighbour to appear on your neighbour bar they must accept your invitation to be neighbours.

You can send gifts to all your neighbours, the maximum number of requests you can send is formatted through Facebook or MySpace and it depends on their policies. The limit is not linked to FarmTown.

These applications include neighbour requests AND gifts combined. If the limit for that day is 24 you may send a total of 24 gifts and neighbour requests, not 24 of each.

To remove a neighbor, go to your "My neighbors" tab and click "remove neighbor".

If you have already removed this person from Facebook before removing them from "My neighbors", then :

Add their profile number behind "delete_id=" , paste the whole thing in the address bar and hit enter.

To know how many neighbours you have, three solutions :

1. When you get some fuel, the number of you neighbours appears on the calculation screen.
2. Click on the "Neighbours" tab in game... and count them!
3. However, the easiest way to know is to open your trophies list: the first trophies tell you how many you have!
