Welcome to our Official August Competition!!


This month's theme is "Festivals", so post here your fabulous farms and get the chance to win some Farm Cash.

Festivals! Small or Big time fun! Have them in your own country or have you been to another country and seen them? This could mean big rides, small rides, junk food to eat, food, flower or music festivals. The choice is yours.

Add a brief description of what you have designed to give your design an added boost.

Whatever you decide, have fun designing and we would love to see it!

Important Notice for ALL who enter, especially Late Entries:

If you have never entered before or are unsure if you will be able to post correctly, please do not leave entering the contest until the last day. We are here to help, but it takes time to communicate with you via Private Messages and you need to be logged onto the forum to recieve them in order for us to be able to help you before the contest closes. We often need to help many members and it may not be possible to correct all entries in time, if they are entered on the last day.

Please double check your contest entry BEFORE you leave the forum. If it is obvious that something is missing from your entry, like the picture of your farm or your farm link then you are going to need help to fix it. If you see your entry does not look right please do post a request for help in the contest help thread and regularly check the forum for any replies to your request for help or any Private Messages sent to you.

Any entries that are not posted correctly by the time the contest closes will not be entered into the competition!

The competition will begin on Tuesday, August 8th at 00:01, and will close on Thursday, August 31st at midnight. The winners will be announced a few days later after the closing, depending on how many entries there are, as every entry has to be checked.

Note: All times are in GMT

Contest Guidelines:

• You can use any items from the Store, Gifts or your Storage.
• You can choose between a "picture farm" or a traditional design.
• You will be able to harvest any crops, trees etc. Crops must be in place at the close of the competition, and can be any crop, but they either must be growing or fully grown and not wasted. This also applies to trees and flowers. You can chop/harvest trees and flowers, but they will need to be at full growth, by the time the competition closes.

Contest Rules:

• If you are using animals, then you MUST Freeze your animals. There are TWO reasons for this! The first is because your animals may wander to a different part of your farm which may spoil your design. The second is your picture MUST be an exact replica of your farm. Freezing your animals will ensure they do not move. To freeze your animals click on the "Preferences" icon, the wrench (top right of your game screen), and add a check mark for "Freeze Animals". You must keep this option checked until the contest has been judged and the winners announced. If you do not do this your contest entry will be disqualified.
• You have to be a member of the Forum.
• Your farm can be any size.
• Your entry needs to be a picture of your farm. Do not post a picture on behalf of someone else.
• One farm entry per contestant. Do not start another forum account to enter another farm.
• Be sure you are entering the correct farm and picture for your entry as you may not change your mind once entered. You cant add/delete any items on your farms once you posted your photo into the contest. NOTICE: If new items are released AFTER you have entered you are not allowed to make additions to your entry, so please be sure you are done.
• Your farm photo must be an exact replica of your farm. If it is not, your entry will be disqualified. Do not hide ANYTHING to take your photo. This means do not hide any individual item and you must have a check mark for ALL options in "Preferences" for all the "Show ... " items in the top section BEFORE you take your photo.
• Do NOT redecorate the farm you have entered into the contest until the winners have been announced.
• You have to provide the following information: A photo of the farm that you wish to enter. The link to the farm you are entering. The name that you have given that farm and the farm number

How do I post a picture for the Contest? Please remember, you must use the Small size while taking your photo as the Regular and Large sizes are too big for the forum. If you choose the wrong size, then we will delete your post and will send you a private message asking you to take a new photo using the right size. NOTICE: Your farm photo MUST be set to Public or we will not be able to help you if your entry needs fixing. To set the photo to Public, please open your Farm town album, and click in your photo. You will see the photo and on the right you will see your name and the date, besides the date you can see who are able to see that photo. Click there and set it to Public.
ALSO, remember to remove the check mark if you have set that farm as PRIVATE, so we can visit it.

Linking your farm to the Forum Please remember we need the link to the farm you are entering.

Festival Comarcal Español:

La fiesta se hace una vez al año festejando la Patrona del lugar. Se realiza en una gran pradera y hay mercado, restaurantes, teatro, juegos,baile, circo etc. El toro es algo muy tipico de España, hay muchos repartidos por todas las carreteras españolas, en realidad es una valla publicitaria.

This festival is celebrated once a year and in honor of the Saint Patron of the place. It usually takes place in a prairie with lot of interesting activities like markets, restaurants, theaters, games, dancing, circus etc. The bull is an icon for Spain and it's used as advertising billboard through all spanish roads.

BELGIUM SUMMER FESTIVAL

Pingüinos es una fiesta anual de aficionados a las motos que tiene lugar en Valladolid (España) una vez al año, durante un fin de semana. Se hacen numerosas actividades relacionadas con el mundo de las motos, como el desfile de antorchas, el desfile de banderas... para asistir a Pingüinos, es imprescindible ir en moto y acampar en la zona destinada a ello. Penguins is an anual Feast of motorcycle drivers that takes places in Valladolid (Spain) once a year during a weekend. They make a lot of activities, such as "torch parade", "Flags Parade". I always love going to the county fair. Ours starts this weekend! There are exhibits of all kinds, food to eat, animals to see, and of course the rides!

Michiganders love festivals and harvest time. So my Fall Harvest Festival offers fresh Michigan produce; apples, pumpkins and grapes are favorites. There is a show on the main stage, food vendors, picnic areas, a playground for kids, attractions like a mechanical bull ride and a huge ferris wheel for for young and old. Above it all are the wondrous colors of the changing trees around a placid lake. Come celebrate Pure Michigan!
