Default How do I expand my farm?

How to Upgrade a Farm:

If you only have one farm:
  1. Click on the MAP icon bottom left of your game screen.

  2. Then click on the "Realtor Office", indicated in the picture below with a red arrow.

  3. You will then see the the available upgrades and their costs.

If you have more than one farm: To upgrade ANY farm you must:
  1. Go to the farm you want to upgrade.

  2. THEN from that farm, go straight to the Realtor Office via the MAP icon.

  3. You will then see the the available upgrades for the farm you just came from, and their costs.
When you have more than one farm, you will also be able to see the Farm Selector (green grid top left of your game screen) titled "SHOW NAMES". Each rectangle, below it, represents one of your farms, hovering over each of those rectangles will show you what size the farms are currently at. You can also click on "SHOW NAMES" and then click on "Show Extra Farm Info" to get the information.

Example of the Land Upgrades at the Realtor Office:

You must make your additions in land size order. This means to buy the Upgrade to 16x16, you must have the required level and have already bought the 14x14 Upgrade.

IMPORTANT! - When you click the "Buy" button you will see a confirmation message telling you the name of the farm (the name of the farm is in brackets in the message) you are upgrading and to what size. Check this is correct! It the ONLY time you can cancel the purchase!!

This is an example of the message, it shows Tigers Farm1 would be upgraded to 14 x14:

Click the Green check mark to continue with the purchase OR click on the Red X to cancel purchasing.

Once purchased, you will see another message confirming what you have just bought and will be offered a chance to post the purchase to Other Wall Requests for your farming friends to see.
Example:

To post it to Other Wall Requests, click on the Green check mark.

If you do NOT want to post it to Other Wall Requests, click on the Red X instead.

If you are buying many Land Upgrades in a short space of time, there is no need to post them all to Other Wall Requests. Your farm data will reflect any Purchases you made. Some farmers have a lot of other farmers that they need to help and won't be able to see as many other requests from other farmers if a lot of land upgrades also being posted there especially by more than one farming friend!

After buying the Land Upgrade you will then be shown the next available upgrades for that farm and you can purchase another one if you wish. Whatever size upgrade you have to buy next, is always the first in the list.

When all the available land has been purchased, the purchase page is empty.

As of MAY 2020 you no longer need to reload the game to buy another expansion or to see the upgraded farm you can just go straight to that farm.

For the FIRST purchase of Farm 2:
  1. Go to the Realtors via the MAP.
  2. If you have not fully upgraded Farm 1, the FIRST purchase of Farm 2 (12x12) will show below all the upgrades for Farm 1.
  3. Use the scroll bar to the right to scroll the list of upgrades down.
The first purchase for your second farm costs 3,000,000c OR 120 Farm Cash.
  4. Remember to check the message that shows BEFORE you click the green check mark to confirm, so you are sure you are buying the right expansion for the right farm!

Default I can not buy the 24x24 upgrade, why?

You must make your additions in the order. To buy the expansion for 16x16, you must have the required level and have already bought the 14x14 level .

Once purchased, it disappears from the list of available upgrades. Whatever you buy is always the first in the list.

Once all the available land is purchased, the purchase page is empty.

Default How to buy my second farm?

The same process for purchasing the second farm can be seen in purchasing upgrades for farm one. You need to be at level 44 as well as 3,000,000c for the first purchase, note that is can also be paid in FarmCash.

The extensions of the second farm work such as the first farm. The only differences are the price of expansions and the fact that it can be paid in FarmCash.
  • First purchase of Farm 2 size 12x12: Level 44 and costs 3,000,000 OR 120 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 14x14 : Level 47 and 100,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 16x16 : Level 50 and costs 200,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 18x18 : Level 53 and costs 300,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 20x20 : Level 56 and costs 400,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 22x22 : Level 58 and costs 500,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 24x24 : Level 60 and costs 600,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 26x26 : costs 10,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 28x28 : costs 5,000,000,000 OR 25 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 30x30 : costs 4,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 32x32 : costs 4,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 34x34 : costs 5,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 36x36 : costs 30,000,000,000 OR 40 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 38x38 : costs 20,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 40x40 : costs 20,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 42x42 : costs 20,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 44x44 : costs 25,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 46x46 : costs 30,000,000,000 OR 30 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 48x48 : costs 40,000,000,000 OR 40 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 50x50 : costs 50,000,000,000 OR 40 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 52x52 : costs 60,000,000,000 OR 50 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 54x54 : costs 70,000,000,000 OR 50 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 56x56 : costs 85,000,000,000 OR 50 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 58x58 : 100,000,000,000 coins OR 60 Farm Cash (whatever your level)
  • Upgrade: 60x60 : 120,000,000,000 coins OR 60 Farm Cash (whatever your level)

Once you have purchased the second farm a Farm Selector (green grid) will appear top left of your game screen, between your coin amount and the in game message envelope. When you mouse over the grid it will expand and you will see it has SHOW NAMES above the grid.

This grid allows you to navigate between the 2 farms and provides you with some extra information about your farms, like the size of your farms and you can also use it to see the cost of the next size expansion for each farm.

As you buy more farms the another box will be added to the grid, for each of your farms. This this an example of the grid and what it lokks like when you mouse over the grid. The location of where the grid appears on your game screen is indicated in the example below with an arrow and also shows you what it can look like when you mouse over the grid. This farmer has 14 farms:
How to use the SHOW NAMES grid is explained in detail, later in this Chapter in post #8 How Do i Navigate from farm to farm?

Default I would like to reduce the size of my farm, is it possible?

No.

Once your farm is expanded, it is impossible to go back and bring it to a smaller size.

Similarly, once you've bought your second farm, you can not sell it.

Default How do i purchase my 3rd farm

As usual, you need to go to the realtor office which is found under the map icon.

The XP values for each purchase:
  • FarmCash purchases give you +601 XP for each upgrade (apart from first purchase which gives you 1000 XP). If you purchase all the upgrades with FarmCash you can earn +4606 XP
  • Purchases with coins give you +1000 XP for each upgrade possible for the third farm. As this gives you +1000 XP for each upgrade, when you purchase all the upgrades with coins you would earn 7000 XP.

The requirements/monetary values for each purchase:
  • First purchase of Farm 3 : 30 Neighbours and 1,000,000c OR 40 Farm Cash (whatever your level)

Default How Do i Navigate from farm to farm

You can navigate easily with the Farm Selector Grid top left of your game screen.
It is located on the left side of your Farmers List icon at the top of your game screen.

This farmer has 3 farms. Each number in each box represents a specific farm.

You will see a slightly different type of grid with SHOW NAMES above it when you have at least 4 farms like this:

When you have 9 farms you will also see some boxes with white arrows either side of the grid.

If you mouse over this type of farm grid it will expand so you can see it bigger.

Underneath SHOW NAMES each of the rectangles represents one of your farms.

The top row left to right are farms 1 to 4, the second row underneath are farms 5 to 8 and so on.

This example has 48 farms.

The yellow background on the 2 in the grid means this farmer is on their Farm 2.

The boxes with white arrows are a quick way to get to the next or previous farm.

If this farmer wanted to go to farm 1 they can click on the arrow on the left of the grid.

If they wanted to go to farm 3 they would click on the arrow on the right.

As you mouseover each of the rectangles the background will turn yellow with a red box around it. It will also show you the name of the farm, the size it is and if it is Fertilised, Watered or Irrigated.

You can also click on one of the rectangles which will take you to that farm.
In this case the farmer would go from farm 2 to farm 48.

Clicking on SHOW NAMES will open a much larger window showing you all of your farms like the one below:
There is a green outline in the picture around Farm 1 (indicated with a red arrow) which means this farmer is on Farm 1.

You can also click on the name of a farm in that large window and that will take you to the farm that you clicked on.

Show Extra Farm Info can be clicked on and will show you will show you information on which farms are:
  • F - Fertilized
    I - Irrigated
    W - Watered
    Q - Quest
    P - Private
D - Disabled for Super Neighbour farming actions
O - Watering of flowers is disabled UNLESS you hire someone, including super neighbours, to harvest the flowers on that farm.

Full details on how to set a farm with any of the options can be seen in Chapter 2 Can I make a farm Private?

If you mouse over the coloured Legend top left it will tell you what those colours and letters represent, should you forget them.

  • If you mouse over the farm names with the sizes it will also tell you if the farm can be upgraded and what it will cost.

In this example the farm is currently size 34x34 and the next expansion for it will cost 30 billion coins or 40 FarmCash to expand to 36x36, which is the next size for that farm:

60x60 is the largest farm size at this time.

Show Facility Info when clicked on will show you how many of each type of facility you have.

The legend at the top left of the window represents the different types of facilities.
If you mouseover each of the options it will tell you what the colours and letters represent and how many of those types of facilities you own.

In this section, each box in the window represents one of your farms.
When you mouseover them you will see the Facility Capacity Used out of 100% for that farm.
In the example below you can see that the blue bar under the farm name is almost at the end of the whole box. This means that facility capacity is very high so that farm is near it's limit for the amount of facilities that can be on that farm:

NOTE: Facility capacity also includes the amount of working locomotives and long cars on the farm as part of the Facility Capacity. Each locomotive counts as 1, each Farm Cash Long Car counts as one. One train with all 19 long cars on it counts as 20 towards the facility capacity limit.

Show Work Info when clicked on will show you where you have work ready to be done on your farms.
This is an example of what you could see..

When you mouseover the legend top left of the window it will tell you what the letters and each colour represents.

Show Product Names - Located in the top left, below the colored legend, it will show the most common product present on each farm. Plow Fields, Harvested Fields and Gone to Waste Fields will never be shown.
When you mouse over each farm it will show a tooltip with the 10 most common products present on that farm.
In this example there far more than 10 different items ready to work so it can't list all of them.

To the right of Show Product Names is a dropdown menu that will allow you to see the numbers of workable items that will become ready in different timeframes.

The default behavior is to see what is ready to work NOW (Ready now), at the current time. The dropdowns will allow you to choose different time intervals, like ready within 2 hours, 4 hours, 24 hours etc, and in the specific case of the crops, you will also be able to see how many of the crops will become wasted within 2 hours, 4 hours, etc.

Some of this info can also be seen in the Farm Stats screen. It will be up to you to decide which method works best for you.

There are also differences with the time intervals between this method and the time intervals in Farm Stats.

In the Farm Stats screen the intervals do not overlap, meaning they are 1-2 hours, 2-3 hours, 3-4 hours, etc.

In the Show Work Info ALL of them overlap, one time interval is included in the next time interval, which can provide some speed advantages on some scenarios.

This dropdown is not visible on the first 2 job types, Fields to Plow and Seeds to Plant.

Show Quantities top left of this window will return you to the previous window where you were showing what work was ready on your farms.

Show Names will return you back to the window displaying all your farms names.

Show User Info when clicked on will show you with a blue circle on the farm name, which farms your workers are on.
You will need to have at least 4 farms so you can use Show Work Info and then Show User Info.

The three blue circles at the top right show you if they are Working, Connected OR Working, Disconnected OR Idle, Connected.

Connected means they are Online in the game, Disconnected means they are offline in the game.

If your worker has not left, you can send a message to them if you wish. There will be an envelope you can click on showing top right of the window.

You will see something like this but they will be your workers on your farms. In this example we have indicated the message envelope with a red arrow.

There is a worker showing Idle on farm 2 and a worker showing as working and online on farm 5:
Clicking on the Message envelope shows you another window:
In this window IF they were not a Neighbour or a Buddy you can also use the blue and green silhouette icons to send a Neighbour or a Buddy Request.
Please remember that to earn a reward for hiring and for a worker to earn the bonus chest they can not be a Neighbour or Buddy.

A dimmed icon means that they are on one of your lists.

If neither icon is dimmed like these:

Click on the Blue one to send a Request to add them as your Neighbour.
Click on the Green one to send a Request to add them as your Buddy.

Tiger is offline and Idle on Farm 2. The farm owner can only send them an in game message. They will receive the message as they work or when they move to another farm.

Hetty and the farm owner are both online in the game and both are farm 5. In this case there are 2 message options. To send an in game message AND to send an online chat message to the chat box.

Clicking on this icon lets you send an in game message to that farmer.

Clicking on this option lets you send a message that will show up in the chat box. Only use this 2nd option IF you are both going to be on the same farm long enough for you both to see the message in the chat box in your game bar.

Clicking on either of those options shows you a small message box that you can type in using your keyboard.

When you have finished typing your message, click on the green Send button to send it, or click on the red X to cancel

When you visit another farmers farm and they own more than one farm, the gird at the top of your game screen will change to represent each of that farmer farms.
This farmer has 24 farms, so the grid at the top of the game screen next to the Farmers List icon changes to represent thier farms so that you can use it go farm to farm.

To be able to return to your own farms after visiting or working another farmers farm you will also see a Home icon bottom right of your game screen while you are on thier farm.
If you only have one farm clicking on the icon will take you back to your farm.

If you have more farms, clicking on that Home Icon will also show you a grid. In this case the grid represents your farms.

What kind of colours you may see in the grid and if you see a red dot or not will vary depending on the differences betwen your farms and thiers, if you are a super neighbour with design permaissions or not. You can ignore all of them. The intention to show the grid here is just so you have a way to get back to any of your farms.

Clicking on DEFAULT would take you back to your default farm.

Clicking on LAST would take you back whichever one of your farms that you werr last on.

To go to a specific one of your farms, just click on the number of the farm that you want to go to to return home.

Default Can I Rearrange my Farm Order?

Can i rearrange my farm order?

Yes, when you have more than one farm you can do this from the Farm Selector Manager in the Tool Box.

Click on the Tool Box to open it.

In the 2nd column from the left side, towards the top, is the Farm Selector Manager.

Click on it and a window with all your farms listed will open. The top row from left to right are farms 1 to 4. The next row farms 5 to 8 and so on.

There is an arrow to the right of every farm name. Click on it and it will show you a scroll-able list of all your farms. To change a farm to another position you click the arrow next to the farm you want to move, then scroll through the list and click on the name of the farm you want to swap it with. When you have made your selection and clicked the green check mark to save, the farms will switch places. The green shading on a farm name, is the farm you are currently on.

NOTE: You are just changing the order of the display of the farms. So for example if you switch farm 1 with farm 4, farm 1 in it's farm link it will remain as farm one, it's just changed positions with farm 4.

How do i put my farms back into their original order?
If at any point you wish to change them all back to their original positions you just click the Reset button at the bottom of the window and ALL the farms will go back into their original order. Click the green check mark to save your changes or click the red x to cancel.

Copy Link - The copy link button allows you to copy the link to a specific farm.
  1. Click Copy Link

A brief notification in white lettering will appear then disappear.
  2. Click on the name of the farm you want to copy the link for and a box will appear showing you the farm link for that farm.

  3. To copy the link you need to use your keyboard keys.

The common highlight method to copy the link will not work in this area!

Windows Users press CTRL and C keys on your keyboard to copy the link.

Mac Users press the (Command/Cmd) key ⌘ and C keys on your keyboard to copy the link.

The CTRL and Command keys are usually to the left or right of the space bar on most keyboards.

  4. When you have copied the link, click on the red X to close the box.

IMPORTANT!!! - BEFORE you copy anything else! You will need to paste it.

  5. To paste the farm link:
Windows Users press the CTRL and V keys on your keyboard to paste what you copied.

Mac Users you press the (Command/Cmd) key ⌘ and V on your keyboard to paste what you copied.

When you only have one farm or are not able to load the game, there are alternative ways to get your farm link. You can also add your farm link to your Forum signature if are a member of the forum. Instructions for those are posted in the following link:
