I know this is not exactly the theme for this month but it is a promise I made and need to fill.
I met Daisy Mae some 4 or so years ago at the farmtown market place on myspace. She hired me or I hired her I do not remember, we became buddy's then friends. We shared work, neighbors, decorating tips and links for decorating our farms.
Our relationship grew through the years as we came over to Facebook and continued our farming.
We became the Best Farming Friends ever. We never met in person, but we were there for each other. We vented, played games, sang songs (typed songs) laughed, cried, shared our every day life, our joys, our physical therapy stories, name it we probably shared it. We were like sisters separated at birth.
In December she became very ill and confided in me that she had cancer.
She fought, took the therapy, still continued to farm when she felt up to it, shared what she needed and I listened.
I made her some hats to make her feel beautiful as she is on the inside, and so she could get out and not be too uncomfortable.
I made this farm for her, I will never change it nor enlarge it, I will only harvest it and water it.
She came over to that farm and took a picture with me (as shown) she loved it, and I let her know that I would enter it into this contest.
We lost Daisy Mae to her battle with cancer a couple of weeks ago, it has been hard for me to enjoy farming since. I miss her.
