Angry Malicious Software when loading Farm Town

I'm unable to log in Farm Town because every time I do, I get pop ups from AVG, malwarebytes and Windows Defender notifying me I was prevented from opening the site. Reason? The following malware.

adware.gamevance 14
rpgie/suste,tpp; 27
adware.smartshopper 2
adware.predict ad 7
System.exe took over my desktop background and locked up my pc.

I spent almost 2 hours removing the crap from my pc. I won't log on Farm Town until notified the threats are gone. I have read in the forum where others are having the same problem. If this is from one of your advertisers, I do hope you find who it is and remove their ad before my crops go to waste or I have additional problems with my pc.

The ad that appeared just before the download bar and my AVG giving me a warning was a blank box with only the X in the corner. I did click the X and gave the reason.

I right-clicked on the blank space and got the usual flash right-click menu. A new tab opened for dragonfable.com/?id328g

Mod Edit... modified name so it was not a link

I downloaded adblocker for Chrome and it's working like a charm so those using Chrome as a browser might want to try that out until the ad causing the problems is deleted

Thanks everyone for the detailed feedback here (and thanks Tiger for your responses)

I'll let the developers know about this, and report back here with any update.

Default Virus

This started showing up today... Not sure what ad this pops up in because the ad itself is blocked and won't display, but this seems to be the source of the virus...

//analytics2.freevipersecurity8.com/index.php?tp=8ce060c273262831[/url]

It attempts to run Java code that apparently installs a trojan that then allows the remote installation of other software. It tries to bring up the Microsoft Help and Support page, probably to tell me that I have a nasty virus that they will gladly fix for just $19.99. Microsoft Security Essentials blocked it, yet it keeps trying. This only happens when going to your farm when the ads load. It appears to be in the large banner ad below the farm screen. I tried it from two different locations on two different networks... same result.

So why don't you folks shut down all the ads until you figure out which one it is? You are going to have a lot of virused and pissed off people if you don't.

Thanks.

URL of page you were taken too (if any)

Attacker URL given: analytics2.freevipersecurity8.com/indexphp?tp=8ce060c2762831

Your antivirus program and version
Norton...not finding the version right now.

The name of the malware shown by your antivirus/malware program after it found the malware.

HTTP Java Obe Toolkit Activity 1

The country you are located in. This information is necessary due to the fact that many of the ads are regional in nature. This helps the devs track down the ad faster.

That is what pops up for me today also. It is the WinBlueSoft virus. It changes your screensaver to a warning, and won't let you access your security or virus protection to remove it. From what I read, it's not harmful, just blocks you from accessing sites. It's whole purpose is to try to get you to buy a anti-spyware program. I've removed it twice today by doing a system restore to a previous day. Couldn't figure out where I was getting it until I logged onto my farm and it popped up again right away.
Hopefully something can be done to remove this. I've also spent real $$ on this game, and I'd hate to lose it.

For anyone that got the trojan horse virus as I did...you can try and get to the following website to run a free scan and also fix the problem...it is a great program and I have been using it for years...

It got rid of the trojan horse virus I picked up from Farm Town...

Hi, thanks for trying to help, I had to remove the external link you posted as they are not permitted on the forum.
