You have to strengthen the default settings it comes with however.
No security program comes with the settings set high enough.
There are many tabs in avasts settings.

Yes it is from a Spam posted in the forums. Don't think it is a virus or spyware, but I wouldn't click on any of the links in it.
The moderators try to keep the spam cleaned out of the forums but cannot always get to all of them instantly. SO just delete the emails like that.

The issues have also been with McAfee which has been reported online and even found several posts a few months back on Microsoft's website.

Hi

Try uninstalling all old versions of java from your computer go to your computers controll panel and add and remove programs component and scroll for java and uninstall.

then Visit www.java.com and install the most recent version of java.

if this doesent resolve it try disabling browser addons that may be causeing the error.
