A family friend came by the other day to visit and I was showing her some shortcuts/glitches that would help her on FT. She was totally amazed at the speed of my laptop, which is fast, but not the top of the line gaming computer, for sure. Compared to her 3-4 year old Acer... well ..... night and day. So we browsed sites, and she bought a $1,090 Dell on special at $699....

it was delivered yesterday and she is flying..... with no hangups, no resets, no connection loses.

The point is, that sometimes the "problems" we experience are really not the fault of the game, but perhaps a simple "shortcoming" with our equipment. We make due with what we have, I guess.

LOL - No biggie ...... of course not - but the house goes to the pack, and the family unglue me from my computer when my presence is required

I too have sometimes taken lots of time and demonstrating to convince a couple of friends that their farmtown problems belonged with their own computer and not the game.

One drove a 120klm round trip, just so that I could prove to her on my desk top set up that the game was fine, and that she badly needed to buy a new computer ...... which she bought on the way home

Think you are right about the newer computer will speed up the time on the farms, but never thought the mouse would. My mouse was 2 yrs old and I think the spring on it was getting wore out from all that clicking, finally broke down yesterday and got a new one and everything was going quicker. My hubby said it was probably because the new mouse had updated drivers. Who would think a new mouse driver would speed things up, not me, but it does. lol. Now if FT would just grant my wish of giving us a harvest/plow 3x3 for corns, I could get a little more house work done. lol

um, you CAN buy a 3x3 harvester, and a 3x3 plow, for coins -- just not in the same tool... beware that 'coin' tools can't go with you to neighbors' farms, nor will they help you in the marketplace.

I know, have the 3x3 in every tool, I submitted a request to the dev a long time ago to give us poor forks a 3x3 harvest/plow for coins. To get a harvest/plow in fc, it will take about 250 fc to get to the harvest/plow tool.

Im WF5, and the past 2 weeks it had been a little slower than normal, but I didint notice a vast improvement in game play speed today... they have obviously been working on problems overnight..

oh, ok (had to wait for the light bulb to come on) - you mean harvest and plow in the same tool... i have a 4x4 plow, and a 4x4 harvester, but they were gifts from friends, i didn't pay for them myself (i returned the favors in other ways, so i still spent some fc)...

Still having major issues with this program. My server is WF39. I just harvested a bunch of trees, and found that the system was EXTREMELY SLOW. I normally can harvest trees, save and move on to my next farm. (I usually harvest my own trees because hiring is extremely iffy, 1/2 of the workers leave 1/2 of the work undone.) The system would NOT save, and would not let me move on until ALL the trees on one farm had been harvested. I harvest by hand (no auto-clicker involved) but I do have the 8 x 8 tool. Soooo.... what is happening with this program? This started about 2 weeks ago. Yes, there have been issues like this in the past, but usually only lasted 2-3 days and occurred right around the time of upgrades. I have been told by moderators that changes have been made to the program that were dictated by Facebook? So when will this game go independent of Facebook? I have been watching the stock price of Facebook plummet. Does Slashkey wish to have the same phenomenon happen to FT?

Well... a farm town day is 20 hours...

But I have no idea what a FT night could possibly be... a month, maybe?
