This is what I think is happening here. When the red sprinkler was released the extended waste time was not part of the plan. If you planted a one day crop and speed up the growth it would be ready in 10 hours and go to waste 20 hours + the extra hours they seem to have built in for one day crops. Then people complained about speeding up crops without wanting to because they can't use the brown sprinkler to water flowers, so the devs went in and lengthened the waste time to match the time it would be if you didn't water you flowers. I think either something went wrong here or they didn't change all the code when they did this change. While you still have the full time to harvest the crop the picture of a watered crop shows wasted when the time should be up without being extended. There seems to be some bugs in the red sprinkler and I am sure the developers are working to get them fixed asap.[/quote]
i agree that the devs will be working on this.......but essentially what i have found thru planting a lot of crops is this plant potatoes.......1 day crop 20hrs ......irrigate them reduces crop ripening to 10 hrs now (and this is what people dont seem to grasp) the potatoes will not go to waste until at least 40 hrs from when they were planted (which is the normal 20 hrs growth period plus the normal 20hrs go to waste waiting time i planted a 4 day crop (80hrs) and irrigated it thus meaning it was ready in 2 days (40hrs) when i rolled up 40 hrs later to harvest it it was saying 6 days to waste .....

You harvest the cork trees with the chopping tools, then use cork in the fishing accessories facility.

you will note that the waste time is .7 of an hr longer than the growth time

its only a single plot and the purpose of the exercise is to test the accuracy of the waste timer now 12 minutes later it is reading 2.5 hrs to waste so so far the timer is accurate
down to 1.7 hrs appearance still normal and time accurate

LOL - love this and waiting on the results dave. I've found that I have tons of time to harvest crops that I have irrigated, without too much problem. I'm thinking that as with lots of little issues, they may be a bit random, and therefore more difficult to 'fix'.

if the picture of the crop is going to change i am sort of expecting that to happen at 42 minutes to go

lol...no just
to change that which we can to abide with that which we cannot and the wisdom to know the difference..... the study continues 60 minutes to go and all normal never know if there is a difference and i can isolate it ...it might help the devs to fix it

the reason i say i expect a change at 42 minutes is that 42 minutes is the ''extra '' time over and above the normal time to waste for that crop so we shall see what we shall see
ok at 40 minutes to go and still looking like a healthy raspberry field should not disappointed that there was no change in appearance as the devs did say they were fixing that but we can conclude from this so far that the time to waste timer is accurate Ok the plot just went to waste ....right on zero minutes and it was healthy looking right to the end ...the time to waste timer is accurate it said at the astart 2.7 hrs and 162 minutes later it went to waste no i know thereas mathematicians out there that can do the numbers sugar cane said 16.6 hrs for taz raspberry plot said 2.7 hrs for me is there a mathematical link proportionate formaula in this ??????

Ok to recap on the time to waste timer
i have over the last 5 hrs run a test on the time to waste clock and it is indeed accurate my methodology was as follow plowed a single field on a non irrigated farm planted 1 single plot of raspberry it took 120 minutes (2hrs) to ripen when it was ripe the time to waste started at 2.7 hrs(162 minutes) i monitored it over the next 162 minutes (2.7 hrs) there was no change in appearance untill the time to waste timer ran out the field was unharvestable by any means (and i have all the harvesters and the combine) this was a true test carried out in a methodical fashion and the findings speak for themselves 1 . the time to waste timer is accurate 2. at least for raspberry there is no appearance change until the time to waste has run out 3. when it was showing wilted wasted plot it was not harvestable
