There are several things that may cause your game not to load. Many times it can be fixed easily by following a few simple steps. While we understand there seems to be a huge amount of information here, the developers of Farm Town recommend that you follow these steps in order. By doing so you will help them determine if the problem is on your end or on their end.
Clear your browser The first thing you should do is clear your browser, sometimes called clearing your cache. Be sure you are also deleting "off line content". The reason for clearing your browser is that even one small corrupt file can cause your game not to be able to load. If you need instructions for clearing your browser there are instructions for nearly every browser in this post http://r1.slashkey.com/forum/showthread.php?t=421890 It is important to note that after you have followed the steps to clear your browser you should always close all open browser windows then try to load the game again. Make sure you have the most current version of the flash player Adobe makes rather frequent upgrades to their flash player. Even if your computer is brand new you may not have the most current version. We have found that if you are going to update your flash player it is best to uninstall your current version and install a fresh version. Below are the steps for uninstalling and reinstalling your flash player: 1. Go to Adobe.comThe reason we recommend a fresh version of the flash player is to clear out any corrupt files which may be in the flash player folders. Delete cdn.slashkey.com file from Macromedia Cache If your flash player is very recent and you don't feel you need to reinstall please follow these steps to clear the what Adobe calls "trash items" from your flash player. 1. Click on this link http://www.macromedia.com/support/do...manager07.htmlYou may also want to increase the storage used by the flash player. 1. Slide your cursor over the tabs at the top of the tool until you find Global Storage settings. Check all of your security programs Security programs are any antivirus, spyware blockers, adware blockers, and firewalls you may have on your computer. Depending on your internet connection you may have a seperate firewall for your router, the security for this should be should be checked as well. Remember, you looking for anything that says slashkey or r1slashey as part of the file name that is being blocked. There are so many different programs out there it is not possible to give full instructions for removing a file from the blocked list. If you see slashkey anywhere in the blocked or quarantined list refer to your help on your program to remove it from the list. Close any open browsers to make sure the security program has caught up with the changes you made and try to load the game again. If you have followed all of the instructions above and your game still does not load. Don't despair, we still have several more things to try to help you get back to your farm. 1. If you have another browser installed on your computer try loading the game on another browser. If you can load it with another browser this means there is a problem with a specific plug in on the browser on which the game will not load.If your farm opens in any one of the cases above that means there is something on your end. The devs have provided links for you to test your server connectivity as well as the farm itself. There are several links click on each of them. http://75.126.168.18/facebook/test.phpClick on each of the links above you should get a new window that says. Server and Connectivity OK! http://174.37.98.190/facebook/test.phpClick on each of the links above you should get a new window that says. Server and Connectivity OK! http://75.126.76.77/facebook/test.phpClick on each of the links above you should get a new window that says. Server and Connectivity OK!

Tiger Laybourne > I actually had her try doing what you suggest a couple days ago. She removed farmtown and added the game back again. It has made no difference. I was unaware though, that she'd lose the info on her 1st time playing, too bad, it was like 3 years ago.
Taz D > Restaurant City was a game she played long ago, now giving same error as farmtown. Uppon request, she added a couple games more, with no problem ¿??? Weird. Settings in Facebook and go to Applications... yes, Farm Town is there, not Restaurant City. I assume the difference could be because in farm town she was able to load the gifts and settings page, which would signal a successful connect to facebook (just assuming). At this point there is nothing more we can suggest from our end. We're more convinced now, that it's a problem on the Facebook side of things. If it were our side we would see a lot more posts by other members and this is the only one we can find. We will keep an eye open for anyone else reporting the same problem. If she hasn't already done it, Shoh will need to contact FB about it. Sorry we can't be of more help at this time, if we think of anything else, we'll let you know. |

Hello Slashkey & fellow FT users -
I've done all of the help issues regarding cannot load game, and I end up with the following message every time I try to load the game: Safffarrriii can’’’ttt open ttthe page... Too many redirects occurred trying to open “https://apps.facebook.com/farmtown/?...e&cid=sk_site”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page. I have used different browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome), cleared cache, reset browsers, checked connectivity, deleted FT, and have tried to reload, and I get the same message. I do have layered farms, but that was done AFTER I have experienced this problem, so layering is not at fault here. Are there too many users to support the game? Is this a facebook issue? I need my FT to work. My crops are wasting away, and my frustration is mounting. Please do help. |

I understand that since the developers made the 11th farm available people have been having all sorts of problems. When I try to load Farm Town it either shows loading 13 of 15 items or 135 of 158 then cancels opening the page! I was on my farm yesterday but the avatar figures were missing so I couldn't hire anyone. All I could see was part of the name. Today - I can't even get into the site.
LIke everyone else here I have tried the "methods of correction" and nothing works. |

To turn that off you need to go to Account Settings on Facebook page then click on Security in the left column. Cleck on Edit for Secure Browsing and uncheck the box then click on save. You will have to log in again I think to complete this. Restart your browser and then try going to your farm. If you get in then that was it.

You have temporarily turned off secure browsing in order to access an unsupported application. To enable secure browsing again, please logout and login again.
I still get the same "flippin" error! ARGH! So frustrated. Seems to me that we were on the right track, because I get the secure browsing page when I try to access FT. Is there another way to shut secure browsing off completely? There is nothing to "uncheck", only edit. Thanks for all your responses... Please keep 'em coming. Signed, Stumped in San Jose |

Also, browser shows: https: even though secure browsing has been disabled. Not sure if that helps to better define the issue...
Thanks for your help! Stumped. |
