I must say that I like the new equipment. Tonight I hired someone to harvest and then someone to plow and used the seeder to plant myself- very nice. The other night I found only beggers and not-so-nice people in the market place so I did it all myself. I like the option of being able to do it either way.

Are there plans to make the machines usable on other people's farms?
Sure hope so.It makes little sense to have a harvester or a tractor if you hire out your work to neighbors or other farmers from the marketplace.

i think if that could happen the only place you should be allowed to use the tools you got are on another farm with the same tools avaliable .. and i would think since its cheaper for us to hire our neighbors than to go to the market to hire ,, why cant our neighbors use the machines we bought ? other wise they mainly for looks? except the seeder thanks allot !! me i want those Trees you got locked up unlocked plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for the hum thing time!!

whats the purpose of having the harvester and plowers when we have people who needs jobs to get ahead? sure I understand the seeder cause can't do that but Im going with the people. thanks for the upgrades....

We just released a new version of FarmTown. (As usual, you will get the new version when going to FarmTown the next time).

The new release contains support for 5 different tools:

1. Small Harvester - Harvest 2 fields at a time
2. Small Seeder - Plant seeds on 2 fields at a time
3. Big Harvester - Harvest 4 fields at a time
4. Big Seeder - Plant seeds on 4 fields at a time
5. Plowing Tractor - Solar Powered - Plow 4 fields at a time

All the tools works in a similar way, you just need to click on the tool and select the first option which could be Harvest, Plant Seeds or Plow depending on the tool. Alternatively, some of the tools can also be activated by clicking on the appropiate icon on the main tool window at the bottom of the screen.

The Plowing Tractor doesn't require fuel to operate so you can use it as much as you want without any limitations. The others require fuel to operate, these are the rules for the fuel:

1. To get fuel you need to go to the fuel station by clicking on the red fuel tank on the top-left of the screen or on the map icon
2. You can refuel once per day
3. The amout of fuel gallons you receive each day depends on these factors:

10 Gallons for each level you have accomplished
10 Gallons for each neighbour you have
10 Gallons for each friend you help each day
10 Gallons for each active neighbour in the last 24h
100 Gallons for each fuel tank you receive from your friends

I purchased the 5. Plowing Tractor - Solar Powered - Plow 4 fields at a time.. It does NOT work for me. It will only let me do ONE square at a time. Same w/doing it by hand..

I agree, the simple solution would be for FT to give those of us who have purchased the equipment a "Market" hiring option", i.e. the ability for us to hire 1 person to harvest and 1 person to plow using our equipment.

Well.went to use the harvester for the first time & it only does ONE square at a time??
I can't use the plower since it only does one square also..WHY did I waste all this $$$??
