I have moved your post to the thread about tools.

If you are trying to place things on top of crops, trees, flowers or waters that is layering. I am sorry but we are not permitted to post instructions on how to do that or allow anyone else to post them as layering still causes problems.

The ability to place items off the edges of farms was not intended when the freestyle designer tools were released. This means that in some cases you can not always place an item off all edges of a farm. In some cases they will only go off one edge and not the rest, or it it could be that the existing layering is preventing it being place there.

What you can try as long as there is nothing else in the exact same spot as something else, is to rotate the facility and then see if it will place off one of the other edges, however that may also mean that you need a big enough clear space to set the facility down first before you can rotate it and then move it to where it will go off one of the edges.
